I Tried TikTok Affiliate Marketing... (Insane Results)
Welcome Back!
Hey everyone! Whether you're returning or stumbled here through the YouTube algorithm, welcome back to my channel! Today, we're diving into the world of TikTok affiliate marketing. If you missed my third video that unexpectedly blew up, here's the gist: I made a significant amount of money, but it also got me banned. Many of you have been asking what happened, and for those new here, you're in for a treat as we attempt to replicate that success.
The Game Plan
Reflecting on Past Success
To recap, in my third video, I created a TikTok account and promoted courses through affiliate marketing using Linktree. Surprisingly, even without a direct link in my bio, people still found my Linktree, and I managed to drive significant traffic and make money. However, getting banned is part of the game, and this time, we're prepared to create multiple accounts if needed.
Starting Fresh
Recording this on December 30th, we'll look back at what happened from December 26th to December 30th and set a challenge to see how much money we can make by January 5th. If you enjoy this video, please like and subscribe as it helps support the channel and might just help me get a new camera!
Setting Up New Accounts
Creating New TikTok Accounts
After getting banned on December 25th, I created a new account on December 26th named "stuffforyou" (with an extra 'f' due to username availability). The setup was straightforward: same profile pic, bio, and a Linktree in the bio. I posted several videos and got impressive engagement on the first day. Here's a breakdown:
- Day 1: 32 followers, 644 likes, six videos posted.
- Views ranged from 200 to 1,700.
Battling Bans and Ghosting
On the second day, some videos got community guidelines strikes, and I experienced ghosting (where TikTok doesn't push your content). Despite these challenges, engagement remained high with notable video views.
- Day 2: 264 followers, 3,700 likes.
- Top video views: 4,000, 1,600, and 27,000.
Adapting Strategies
Identifying Issues
Bans and strikes likely resulted from explicitly mentioning "link in bio" in the videos. Moving forward, I'll avoid these phrases to reduce the risk of bans.
Tracking Progress
I'm meticulously tracking stats using a spreadsheet, including followers, likes, views, hops (clicks on affiliate links), and sales.
- Day 3: 738 hops, 317,000 views, 17 sales, $102 profit.
Scaling Up
Managing Multiple Accounts
To maximize results, I'm creating three accounts daily and selecting the best performer. This strategy helps mitigate the risk of bans and ensures continuous growth.
- January 1st Results: 571 followers, 4,369 likes, and significant video views (up to 124,000).
- January 2nd Results: 2,600 followers, 28,000 likes, and videos reaching up to 148,000 views.
Revenue and Future Plans
With consistent effort, the results are impressive:
- Total Earnings: $680 by January 2nd.
- Top Account Performance: 3,300 hops, 92 sales, $570 earned on January 2nd alone.
Challenges and Conclusion
Dealing with Bans
Despite multiple bans, the strategy of creating backup accounts proves effective. However, managing these accounts requires significant time and effort.
Final Thoughts
Affiliate marketing on TikTok can be incredibly lucrative, but it's also time-consuming and unpredictable. If you're considering this path, be prepared to invest hours in managing accounts and content.
